May 16 – Officers responded to a burglary/forced entry at the 6700 block of Third Avenue Northwest. The complainants told officers that they left the house for a few hours and then returned to find the front door slightly open. They noticed drawers and doors opened and rummaged through. They reported that a laptop and wallet her taken. The wallet contained two credit cards, two debit cards, and French and U.S. identification cards. Officer determined that the burglar had gained entry by prying open a bedroom window. Fingerprints were recovered on a sewing desk the suspect had moved.

May 12 – At the 8300 block of 14th Avenue Northwest officers responded to an assault and robbery. They made contact with the victim and she told officers that she happened across a group of five individuals in a parking lot. They were belligerent and breaking beer bottles. The victim said she told the crocked crew to “knock it off.” The female suspect and male suspect approached the victim and then the male suspect slapped the victim and then the female suspect punched the victim repeatedly. They then stole her purse and iPhone. Meanwhile the three other individuals did nothing. The glazed group fled the scene. The victim told officers she was Facebook friends with the male suspect but did not know the other. The victim suffered an abrasion to her cheek and a torn shirt. Her purse was recovered in a trash bin near the parking lot.

May 9 –At the 100 block of Northwest 85th Street officers were dispatched to a reported shoplifter at a business. They made contact with the security officer who told them that he saw a woman place multiple cosmetic items in her purse, and when she attempted to leave with her male companion the security guard intervened. He tried to collect the thief but was stunned when her fist made forceful and abrupt contact with his face. Some items were recovered during the altercation but Bonnie and Clyde managed to get away. Security footage of the incident was collected. The security guard was uninjured and asked officers to not name him as a “victim”.
