Deadline to vote/run in the Ballard Avenue Landmark District Board elections is today at 5 p.m.

Don't miss your chance to have a say in the upcoming Ballard Avenue Landmark District Board election. The deadline to register to vote/run in the elections is today at 5 p.m. You must register at the Ballard Neighborhood Service Center, 5604 22nd N.W. (at the payment windows). The registration form is attached.
The election of members to the Board will be held on June 12, 2014 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 5337 Ballard Ave N.W.
Two positions are open:
1 - Property Owner (Term expires 6-30-2016)
2 - Property Owner or Business Person (Term expires 6-30-2016)
Registration: Registration is currently open and is required before 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2014 at the
Ballard Neighborhood Service Center, 5604 22nd Avenue NW. To be eligible to vote in the
election you must 1) own a property within the District; OR, 2) own, manage or operate a
business within the District; OR 3) be a tenant or resident within the District. If you registered
in a prior year you do not need to re-register. State voter registration cards cannot substitute
for pre-registration.

Nominations: Nominations may be made at 5337 Ballard Ave NW until 5:00 p.m. on June 5, 2014. A
statement of consent from the nominee must be provided unless you are nominating yourself.
Write-in votes will not be accepted the day of the election.
Voting: Voting will take place at 5337 Ballard Ave NW from 2-7 p.m. on June 12. Absentee ballots
will be available at the Service Center from 3 p.m. on June 6 through 12 p.m. on June
12.
