Bar-S fields above Alki Point in West Seattle will be alive with action this next week as the 2014 Washington State Little League Baseball State Tournament invades Saturday, July 12 through Saturday, July 19.
A total of 13 teams will be involved in the double-elimination tournament for Majors all-stars ages 11-12, including the West Seattle team representing host District 7.
West Seattle came back through the loser's bracket to beat Rainier District twice in the District 7 tournament to earn the right to advance to state.
The teams at state will be vying for the chance to advance to the upcoming Western Regional tournament in San Bernardino, Calif. as the Washington state champions, with the Western Regional winner going on to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Penn.
State action kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12 on the two Bar-S diamonds.
Burlington-Edison plays North Bothell on Bar-S No. 1 and Chehalis takes on Gig Harbor on Bar-S No. 2.
West Seattle waits until 1 p.m. to open, playing Camas on Bar-S No. 2 as Federal Way plays Richland National on Bar-S No. 1.
A 4 p.m. game on Bar-S No. 1 features Eastlake against the representative from District 5 in the Walla Walla area.
Three teams get first-round byes and do not play until Sunday, July 13.
Salmon Creek awaits the winner of the Burlington-Edison vs. North Bothell game at 9 a.m. on Bar-S No. 1 and Spokane South will play the Chehalis vs. Gig Harbor winner at the same time on Bar-S No. 2.
On Bar-S No. 2 at 12 p.m. Pacific will be awaiting the Eastlake vs. District 5 winner.
Bar-S No. 1 will feature the West Seattle vs.. Camas winner against the Federal Way vs. Richland National winner at 12 p.m.
The losers of those two Saturday games play at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 13 at 3 p.m. on Bar-S No. 1.
Winner's bracket semifinals take place simultaneously at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 15 and the winner's bracket final is at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 16.
The loser's bracket final is at 6 p.m. Friday, July 18 with the first championship at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19. A second if-necessary game would start immediately thereafter at 1 p.m.

Parking is available at West Seattle High School (Hiawatha) for a shuttle to Bar-S.
