Delridge Day on Aug. 9 will celebrate the neighborhood
Mon, 07/28/2014
The one day wonder of Delridge Day will celebrate the vibrant neighborhood on Aug 9 from 11am to 4pm with live music, skatepark events, group games (think three legged races) and much more.
It will happen at Delridge Community Center and Park (at Delridge Way S.W. and S.W. Genesee St.).
The event hosted by the North Delridge Neighborhood Council and Seattle Parks will feature vendor tents, food trucks, a kid zone and more.
The Seattle Police SW Precinct will be back combining their annual picnic appearance with the event this year.
A portion of the sponsorships and vendor fees are gifted back to the community by providing scholarships for community center classes through the Associated Recreational Council.
The night before, Aug. 8, the Southwest Family Resource Center is presenting a FREE OUTDOOR MOVIE night showing The Lego Movie. The movie will show at dusk.
Music lineup:
11:00 Bill Wolford - world music, alt folk
12:00 Ellis Brothers - jazz
1:00 The Slags - rock and reggae
2:00 Roo and the Few - Americana
