US film premiere tells how Finnish war veterans came to Canada to begin new life

Vancouver Finlandia Club, together with the Finnish War Veterans in BC, is presenting the US premiere of a new Finnish-Canadian documentary film: From the Front to the West Coast: The Recollections of the Finnish War Veterans in Vancouver.
From the Front to the West Coast: The Recollections of the Finnish War Veterans in Vancouver is an emotive documentary directed and produced in British Columbia about Finnish World War II Veterans. It uncovers the difficult journeys these young Finns faced during this traumatic time with stories, recollections and anecdotes. It also tells the story of how and why they left Finland after the war to start a new life in Canada.
