This car, according to Seattle Police struck a Seattle Police SUV as it made a U-turn with siren and lights on in the intersection at 35th SW and SW Barton in pursuit of a car jacking suspect. Among the passengers in that car was an 11 year old girl who was taken to the hospital after complaints of pains and potential injuries.

Seattle Police have released the description of two carjacking suspects in an incident that began in the 2700 block of 4th Ave. South. That chase came to West Seattle at 21st and Henderson Street SW where the suspects abandoned the vehicle and ran away on foot. They were not caught. Officers continue to search for the original carjacking suspects. They are described as a mid 30’s white male, 6 foot, 180 pounds and unshaven. The second suspect is described as a 30-year-old black male, 6 foot and 180 pounds.
In the process of responding to that chase, an accident occurred at 35th and S.W. Barton Street when a passenger car struck a police SUV making a U-Turn at that intersection. An 11year old girl complained of a headache and nausea following that accident and was taken to the hospital. The driver was evaluated at the scene by a Drug Recognition expert and was arrested for DUI.

A Seattle police officer in an SUV that was making a U-turn in response to a car jacking that made its way to West Seattle was struck by another car at 35th SW and SW Barton about 6:30pm Monday night.
The male driver had come out of the 7-Eleven/Exxon at the intersection, behind a line of cars that had stopped. He then attempted to turn right on 35th and struck the Police SUV. There was another female passenger in the car who was uninjured. The driver of the car was given a field sobriety test, placed in handcuffs and arrested.
Police said the girl had complained of pains and potential injuries and was sent to the hospital only as a precaution.
The carjacking occurred at the Pep Boys at 27014 Avenue South and police spotted the victim’s stolen car near 21st Avenue Southwest and Southwest Henderson Street. When police tried to pull over the car, the suspects bailed out and ran off.
The victim’s car was recovered. No one was hurt in the carjacking.
The SPD said the suspects in the carjacking were still at large.
