Man shot in ankle just a block from the cops

You might think having a police precinct a block away would tend to restrict the use of guns. Not so Wednesday night
The Seattle Police Department said that officers actually heard a shot fired around 11:30 p.m. and subsequently got a report of a gunshot victim in the 7500 block of 24th Avenue Southwest. That's only a block away from the Southwest Precinct on Delridge Way SW and Webster Street SW.
Police were told by a witness that they heard someone knock on their door and opened it to find a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle.
The victim was reportedly uncooperative with officers but was transported to the hospital to be treated for his wound.
