West Seattle burglars arrested; Diamond ring recovered
Mon, 12/29/2014
Three men broke into a West Seattle home on Sunday and while the owner hid in a closet, stole a diamond ring. But they didn't get away with it.
The victim said that she heard voices outside the front door of her home in the 6000 block of 26th Avenue SW around noon and could partially see people through her blinds. Fearing the worst she hid in a closet and then
heard glass breaking and people moving around in her house.
The victim then called 911 to report the burglary.
When police arrived they saw two men running out the front gate of the home and a third suspect, who acted as a lookout during the burglary, still on the stairs. Police were able to capture all three men.
One of them dropped a diamond ring just before he was detained. The victim later identified it as her ring. She also identified two small containers of marijuana the suspects stole. All three men were booked into King County Jail.
