About Festi-Bowl:
Festi-Bowl started in 2014 as an effort to broaden the youth activities during the Ballard SeafoodFest. The 2014 event was very successful in bringing the Seattle skateboarding community to Ballard for the neighborhood’s largest festival. The SeafoodFest organizers found Festi-Bowl to be beneficial to the overall event. Skateboarding rarely receives broad public attention and since SeafoodFest attracts over 65,000 people to Ballard, Festi-Bowl can take advantage of the existing skateboard facilities in the Ballard Commons Park and show an organized skateboard event to a large audience in one of Seattle’s most iconic neighborhoods.
About the Ballard Thrashers Skateboard Club
The Ballard Thrashers were started in 2012 by a few parents whose children wanted to learn skateboarding. The Thrashers have grown to include many summer activities as well as after-school programs, weekend sessions and camps. More info at https:// www.facebook.com/BallardThrashers.
