Seattle Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Larry Nyland paid a visit to Chief Sealth High School on the strike delayed first day of school Sept. 17.
He spoke briefly, greeting the 320 incoming freshmen to the school, after a run through a gauntlet and orientation session provided by Link Crew, juniors and seniors.
Nyland dodged reporters questions about the school strike which brought teachers and staff back to Seattle Schools but has yet to be ratified by the membership. That vote will take place on Sunday.
