Longtime Burien resident, Carol Tomlan passed away October 31, 2015 after a sudden illness, surrounded by her family. Carol enjoyed spending time with family and helping others. Carol is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Van Sickel (Jim) and Shannon Hinchcliffe (Ryan); two precious grandsons, Hayden and Carter (CJ); brother, Bob (Karen); sisters, Beverly Elliott (John) and Betty Waller; and 5 nephews and 3 nieces. She leaves a huge void in our family. A memorial service will be held November 14, 2015, 1 p.m., at Normandy Christian Church, 908 S. 200th St., Des Moines, WA.
