Girls soccer
SCS 1. Seattle Academy 0
Seattle Christian earned a berth in the state Class 1A girls soccer semifinals with a 1-0 quarterfinal victory over Seattle Academy at Shoreline Stadium north of Seattle on Saturday.
Warriors sophomore Jacey Childress scored the lone but deciding goal in the 65th minute.
Seattle Christian now carries a 17-2-1 record into a 2 p.m. state semifinal matchup against King's on Friday, also at Shoreline Stadium.
The winner plays for the state championship at 2 p.m. Saturday and the loser plays in the match for third and fourth places at 10 a.m.

Seattle Lutheran 44, Naselle 22
Seattle Lutheran journeyed to Pacific County next to the ocean on Friday and came away with a 44-22 state Class 1B opening victory over Naselle.
The win advances the Saints of West Seattle into a state semifinal game this coming weekend.
The game will be played on the road against defending Class 1B champion Neah Bay.
Neah Bay's Red Devils were 68-0 winners over Clallam Bay in a home game played at North Kitsap in Poulsbo this past weekend.
The quarterfinal will take place at a date and time to be announced.
Bellevue 49, Kennedy 15
The Lancers' season ended with Friday's loss at Bellevue in the opening round of the state Class 3A playoffs.
Kennedy Catholic finished with a still impressive 9-1 record, and were undefeated coming into the game at 9-0.
The Lancers also broke into the top 10 in the Seattle Times' state 3A poll last week at No. 10.
Bellevue is ranked No. 2 behind Eastside Catholic.
