Only 20 customers on Beach Drive remain without power as crews from City Light work to get it restored. They expect that to happen by midnight.
Update 3:45
The power has been up and down as strong winds buffeted the Seattle area with power out earlier for nearly 5000 West Seattle customers. That outage was fixed pretty quickly with most back up inside of two hours. The most recent outage affects 79 customers along Beach Drive SW roughly between Edmunds Street SW and Brandon Street SW. Estimated time of restoration is after 8:30pm.

Power was restored for nearly everyone on the West Seattle peninsula aside from three singular outages which remain.

The power has been restored for some of the nearly 5000 city light customers that lost it this morning with the number now 3179

Seattle City Light reports that 4932 people lost power in West Seattle beginning around 8:36am. The outage is primarly along Beach Drive SW.
The outage extends up as far west as 49th down to Juneau and then extends west to 32nd SW with some out down to Willow Street SW.
No time of restoration has been announced.
Severe winds are expected through the middle of the day with sustained winds between 25 and 40 mph and gusts in excess of 50mph. Downed trees and power outages are expected.
