Tue, 11/17/2015
A small crowd of enthusiasts attend showing Nov.13 of the work of artist Anette Lusher in Normandy Park.
According to the Artist, Anette Lusher, "My work is exuberant. I respond to life and nature with a passionate need to depict, interpret and create. When I am at work in my studio, I spend countless hours contemplating a particular form and color in order to feel their energy. Inspiration comes from music, feelings, nature and travels, the stories I am so often told by other people, and my personal experiences."
About her art, Lusher said "In the end I hope to have created a piece of art that conveys my visions and motions. When someone relates to my work and interprets it in a personal way, I feel rewarded. The tactile appearances of many of my paintings is achieved in integral parts through built-up, pooled, scraped, layered, or dibbled paint. Each layer acts as a metaphor for time's passage, the same way life unfolds."
According to her bio, she "has shown nationally and internationallyand is held in numerous private and corporate collections" around the world.
