Warriors breeze past Charles Wright

It was a big third quarter by Seattle Christian that fired the Warriors to a 59-42 Nisqaully League 1A home victory against Charles Wright Academy on Fri., Jan. 15 ,as part of 2016 Homecoming.
The Warriors improved to 2-1 league and 8-5 overall. CWA fell to 0-3 and 5-8 respectively.
Defensive overplays in the third quarter by Taggart Anderson the Warriors forced a torrid pace that the Tarriers were unable to match en route to win.
Clinging to a 24-22 halftime margin, Seattle Christian exploded to seal the deal.
Evan Toy's assist to Anderson began the Warrior surge to victory in the opening moments of the second half. Anderson followed with two consecutive three-point howitzers and Toy capitalized on a steal for a lay up for a 34-22 clearance midway through the quarter. Charles Wright was unable to draw closer than eight points the rest of the way while SC continued to plunder its way while fashioning a 22-point lead of 53-31 in a run to daylight performance with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter
Early action featured a near stand off in the first quarter that Seattle Christian led 14-13. Charles Wright tied the game at 16 and flowed to five more consecutive second quarter points to lead 21-16 before SC retaliated on an 8-1 scoring drive to emerge with a 24-22 halftime advantage.
Anderson closed with 19 Warrior points as teammate Toy added 13 points and six asists. Dalton Saggau paced rebounders with six.
For CWA, Hayden Saalfeld notched 11 points while Henry Cheney put up 10 points and had 10 rebounds.
