Firefighter were putting out hotspots and clearing smoke from the room at 3018 Bataan Street SW after fire broke out. No one was hurt in the incident.
A fire on the second floor of a home in the 3000 block of Bataan Street SW was quickly handled by Seattle Fire after it was reported around 8:45am. No one was hurt.
Numerous units responded to the scene. Chief Woodbury the Incident Commander said, "The resident was not home at the time and it was mostly confined to one room but we have investigators on the way to check it out."
No cause or estimate of damage has yet been determined.
