Youth swimming
Championship meets
The Seattle Summer Swim League world will be converging on Normandy Park this week.
Olympic View will host the Southern Division meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, then the crosstown Normandy Park club pool will be the site of the All-City meet featuring the top finishers from both divisions starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Little League
State tournaments
West Seattle is involved in the state Major Little League baseball all-star tournament this week.
After battling Redmond North at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hidden Valley in Bellevue, the Westsiders hope to 5:30 p.m. make Thursday's winners bracket final.
The losers bracket final is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, followed by championship action starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
PacWest is playing in the age 10-11 tournament in Clarkston, trying to take the long day-by-day route back through the losers bracket.
Semipro
Highline Bears
The semiprofessional baseball Bears have two games left on their schedule, both of which will be played at their home field of Mel Olson Stadium at Steve Cox Memorial Park in White Center.
Laces Baseball Club pays a visit at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday and the Northwest Honkers come to town at the same time for Friday's finale.
Pros
Sounders
Seattle hosts the Los Angeles Galaxy for a 1 p.m. Major League Soccer match at CenturyLink Field on Sunday that can be seen on the ESPN cable television network.
Mariners
Seattle is in Pittsburgh for 4:05 p.m. action against the Pirates on Wednesday before dropping in on the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field this weekend.
The Mariners play the Cubs at 11:20 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
They will come home to Safeco Fiedl to face the Boston Red Sox at 7:10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
All Mariners games are carried on ROOT Sports cable television.
Rainiers
Tacoma is at home at Cheney Stadium playing El Paso at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before Albuquerque comes to town for a 7:05 p.m. Saturday game, a 1:35 p.m. Sunday game, a 7:05 p.m. Monday game and an 11:35 a.m. Tuesday game.
Rainiers games are aired on MiLB cable television.
Reign
Seattle visits Portland for a 7:30 p.m. women's professional soccer match Saturday.
