Acclaimed West Seattle restaurant Blackboard Bistro at 3247 California Ave SW. will serve its last meal on Aug. 19. Citing "circumstances at home" owner Jacob Weigner posted the news on Facebook:

"Parting is such sweet sorrow.....After 7 wonderful years at Blackboard Bistro we are having to say Good Bye. Thank you to friends, family, our landlords, vendors and community we have had such a great time and been able to live a dream. Our circumstances at home recently changed resulting in our need to move our priorities there. We will miss Welcoming you into our passion. We have loved serving you. 3 weeks left. 12 more services. Last day is August 19th.---"
