Kela finishes 4-1 for Texas
Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela finished with a solid record for the Texas Rangers despite suffering through an injury-plagued season.
The hard-throwing right-handed reliever posted a 4-1 record for the Rangers and picked up his second save toward the end of the season.
Kela finished with a 2.79 earned run average over 38.2 innings in 39 appearances, striking out 51 and walking only 17.
Barnette winds up 2-1
Thomas Jefferson graduate Tony Barnette of the Rangers posted a 2-1 record with a 5.49 earned run average and also earned two saves.
Barnette worked 57.1 innings over 50 games, striking out 57 and walking 22.
He is also a right-handed reliever.
Kelemete in fifth season
Evergreen graduate Senio Kelemete and the New Orleans Saints improved to 2-2 in the young National Football League season with a 20-0 win over Miami on Sunday.
Kelemete is in his fifth NFL season out of the University of Washington and can play five different positions on the offensive line.
Madison, Cougs are 5-0
Kennedy Catholic graduate Cole Madison and the Washington State University Cougars are 5-0 following their 20-17 win over the USC Trojans on Friday.
Madison starts on the offensive line as a senior.
