Highline's Pirates posted their first football victory of the year Friday, slipping past Clover Park by a 31-28 score.

The Pirates improved to 1-5 overall with the road victory in Lakewood.

Kennedy Catholic and Foster both improved to 4-2 with wins this week.

The Lancers clobbered Kent-Meridian by a 43-13 margin at French Field in Kent on Thursday and Foster finished off Lindbergh, 53-13, in a home game Friday.

Evergreen was felled, 49-0, by Franklin Pierce in a home game Friday and Seattle Lutheran lost to Rainier Christian by a 52-0 score.
