Kelemete, Saints off to 4-2 start
The New Orleans Saints lead the National Football Conference's South Division with a 4-2 record with the help of Evergreen and University of Washington alum Senio Kelemete.
Kelemete and the Saints were 26-17 winners over Green Bay this past Sunday.
Kelemete is currently listed as the second string left guard and right guard but the versatile offensive lineman has also backed up at center and at tackle.
Madison paving way for WSU
Kennedy graduate Cole Madison and the Washington State University football team stand at 7-1 overall following Saturday's 28-0 victory over Colorado at home.
Madison is a 6-foot, 5-inch offensive lineman for the Cougars.
Thurber a Montana Grizzly
Kennedy graduate Jared Thurber is a freshman wide receiver for the University of Montana in Missoula. He stands at 6-4, 169.
McPherson now a sophomore
Kennedy graduate and West Seattle resident Shayne McPherson is in her sophomore season with a University of Washington women's volleyball team that stands at 16-5 overall.
McPherson is a defensive specialist and libero for the Huskies.
McPhees ready for basketball
Mount Rainier graduates Brittany and Jordan McPhee are both gearing up for their senior seasons of college basketball.
Brittany is a 6-0 starting guard for Stanford University and Jordan a 5-10 starting guard for Seattle Pacific University.
Both seasons get underway Saturday, Nov. 4.
Giomi coming off redshirt season
West Seattle graduate Lydia Giomi is a 6-6 freshman forward for the University of Oregon women's basketball team coming off a redshirt freshman season in which she sat out after the pre-conference season.
The Ducks launch out into their season Sunday, Nov. 5.
Pryor not on Huskies varsity
West Seattle graduate Nate Pryor is a freshman signee for the University of Washington men's basketball team but is not on their varsity roster for this winter.
Geving out at Portland State
Highline graduate Tyler Geving is not returning as the head coach at Portland State University after the school and him parted ways following their last season.
