West Seattle widened its overall record to 2-0 in boys basketball by posting a 58-36 victory over Auburn Mountainview on Saturday.

The game was played at Fife High School as part of the John McCrossin Classic tournament.

In other boys action Saturday the Seattle Lutheran team from West Seattle took a 51-21 loss to Mariner in a tournament at Friday Harbor and Kennedy Catholic suffered a 72-50 loss at Olympic.

The Lancers fell to 1-1 overall and the Saints of Seattle Lutheran now stand at 0-2 overall in the early going.

On the girls side the same day the Chief Sealth squad fell to 1-1 with a 70-33 loss at Rainier Beach and Highline’s Pirates sank to 0-3 with a 40-22 defeat at the hands of Charles Wright.
