Variety reports that West Seattle's Amanda Knox, whose writing appears in the Westside Weekly and whose story of imprisonment and exoneration was worldwide news has been contracted to host a new show that will appear on the Facebook Watch video platform.
Produced by Vice Media the show called The Scarlett Letter Reports will explore how women and girls have been publicly shamed and attacked in the media.
Five-episodes feature Knox interviewing subjects who discuss their experiences of being sexualized, scrutinized and demonized by media coverage and how they've rebuilt their lives. Her subjects include model-actress Amber Rose and Daisy Coleman, the teenage girl who became an advocate for sexual-assault education after she was victimized.
"I'm hoping to re-humanize others who have been similarly shamed and vilified, and elevate the standard for how we think and talk about public women," said Knox.
The show is set to appear soon but no firm dates have been announced.
