West Seattle remains on top of the Metro League girls basketball pack after routing the Franklin Quakers by a 77-30 score Wednesday.
The Wildcats improved to 6-0 in Metro League play ahead of the 5-0 mark of Rainier Beach.
Also winning Metro League games Wednesday were Chief Sealth and Ballard.
The Seahawks soared to a 58-45 victory over Eastside Catholic as the Beavers beat Lakeside, 58-50.
In other girls basketball action that night, Seattle Christian scored a 68-32 non-league victory over Highline and Seattle Lutheran topped Crosspoint, 42-14, as Kennedy fell, 61-35, to Kentlake and Mount Rainier lost to Tahoma, 51-42.
Chief Sealth lost a non-league game to Cedarcrest on Tuesday, 58-32.
In boys basketball action Wednesday Seattle Lutheran rallied by Crosspoint, 71-68, and Kennedy won, 58-55, over Kentlake as Mount Rainier was topped by Tahoma, 57-50, and Tyee lost to Lindbergh, 73-59.
All three area Metro League boys teams lost on Tuesday.
Franklin edged West Seattle, 47-44, and Lakeside beat Ballard, 66-30, as Chief Sealth fell to Eastside Catholic, 85-53.
