Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Area Recreation Council are working together to help support outdoor education at Camp Long. Donations allow youth  from low income households to participate in faciliation of equitable and culturally responsive environmental programming.

Organizations like Leaders in Equity, Environment and Facilitation (L.E.E.F) train youth in leadership skills and provide "Camper-Ships" which are scholarships for outdoor day camps that promote environmental education and stewardship.
