Tues., Feb. 6, 7:30 p.m. Families are invited to preview a free performance by the award-winning Ballard High School Wind Ensemble. The group was one of two school bands selected to perform at the Washington Music Educators Association State Conference in February. This is the first time that a Seattle Public School Wind Ensemble or Concert Band has been invited to perform at this highly competitive event. The February 6 concert will include three contemporary works: “Aurora Awakes” by John Mackey, “A Solemn Place” by Wayne Oquin, and “Apollo Unleashed” from Symphony No. 2 by Frank Ticheli.

Nia is a barefoot fitness fusion blending martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts, along with world music sounds into an hour fitness fusion that is geared for “everybody.” Practiced globally, Nia is designed to work with everybody and every fitness level.
