Highline High School journeys to Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham for state regional action Saturday, taking on Burlington-Edison at 1 p.m.
That comes on the heels of a 10 a.m. battle between Port Angeles and Mountlake Terrace, with the winners meeting after the Highline game to play for a berth into the state final four.
The state 2A semifinals and finals will take place in Yakima on Memorial Day weekend.
Boys soccer
Highline hosts Woodland for a 6 p.m. game as the state Class 2A playoffs open Tuesday.
Fastpitch softball
West Seattle meets Bellevue at 4 p.m. as the Sea-King Tournament gets underway Monday and Kennedy Catholic waits until 4 p.m. Tuesday for a West Central District play-in game at Auburn-Riverside against the South Puget Sound League’s No. 5 team.
Seattle Christian travels to Klahowya for a play-in game Tuesday as well.

Seattle stops by in Minnesota for a 4:10 p.m. makeup game against the Twins on Monday before coming home to Safeco Field to take on Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela, Thomas Jefferson graduate Tony Barnette and the Texas Rangers at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday and 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The Detroit Tigers fly in for games at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, 7:10 p.m. Friday, 6:10 p.m. Saturday and 1:10 p.m. Sunday.

Seattle opens its regular season Sunday, taking on Phoenix in a 6 p.m. game at the KeyArena that can be seen live on JOEtv.

Seattle’s Major League Rugby squad hosts the Utah Warriors for 5:30 pm. Sunday action at the Starfire complex in Tukwila.
Seattle is off until Saturday, May 26 when it hosts Real Salt Lake for a 1 p.m. Major League Soccer match at CenturyLink Field.

Tacoma is in Sacramento for Pacific Coast League baseball action Monday at 7:05 p.m. and Tuesday at 12:05 p.m. before coming home to Cheney Stadium and playing the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The Iowa Cubs come in for games at 5:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:35 p.m. Sunday.

The Auburn oval is open for horse racing action at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
