Saturday would be a great day to be in Bellingham if you are a Highline Pirates supporter, but you may have a decision to make.
The Highline baseball team will be at Joe Martin Stadium playing Burlington-Edison in a 1 p.m. state regional game.
If the Pirates win that they will play a state quarterfinal immediately thereafter against Port Angeles or Mountlake Terrace.
That would at least partially conflict with the Highline boys soccer team's 4 p.m. state quarterfinal against Bellingham over at Civic Stadium.
The soccer team is trying to get to next week's semifinals and finals in Sumner, while the baseball team is trying to get to Yakima.
So this will be the last time they play on the same side of the state, let alone the same city.
