Map from Seattle City Light
A power outage of unknown origin struck West Seattle around 8:32 am on Monday, knocking out the juice for 16.928 City Light customers. This stretched from Alki through central West Seattle including the Junction. The southern end of it was SW Henderson Street. It came back on at 8:51 for a large number in the southern section of West Seattle, then others shortly thereafter.
This is the second power outage in the last 10 days. The first was caused by a failure in a relay, City Light said. No explanation for this outage was offered as yet. An estimate for restoration was noon.
