Roxhill Elementary School students and staff will move into the newly modernized E.C. Hughes School building this September. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the E.C. Hughes School building, located at 7740 34th Avenue S.W.
The E.C. Hughes modernization project was included in the Buildings, Technology and Academics IV (BTA IV) Capital Levy and approved by Seattle voters in 2016
Loyal Heights Elementary School students and staff will move into their modernized and expanded building this September. The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at Loyal Heights Elementary School, located at 7735 25th Ave. NW
The Loyal Heights modernization and expansion project was included in the Building Excellence IV (BEX IV) Capital Levy and approved by Seattle voters in 2013.
Both projects were completed on time and within budget.
Elected officials and Superintendent Denise Juneau will provide brief remarks.Tours of the buildings will take place after each ceremony.
Capital levies are the key funding source for improving safety and security for students, reducing portables, adding classrooms, improving technology infrastructure for schools, and increasing access to classroom technology.
