FEDERAL WAY - The SeaTac 2B League Seattle Lutheran boys basketball team improved its season record to 3-2 by using speed on defense and offense to disrupt SeaTac 1B Christian Faith 74-25 at the Christian Faith School Campus on Tues., Dec. 11.

"We're still taking steps each game," said Saints head coach Jay Johnson. "It's defense and sharing the ball on offense."

Getting in the face of Eagle ball handlers right off the bat, SLHS parlayed the aggression into leads of 12-0 and 24-3 en route to a 24-5 advantage after one quarter.

For Christian Faith the spirit was willing, but it simply was outmanned in the level of achievement.

Larger double digit leads for the Saints ensued and Seattle Lutheran reached a lead of 53 points in the fourth quarter while continuing to allow many players significant time on the court.

Saint senior Simon Solomon poured in a trio of three-point goals as part of his game high 15 points. Xanthos Johnson also earned three goals from beyond the arc to compile a double figures total of 13. Izaiah Duenza added nine points. In totality, Seattle Lutheran High School featured nine players who contributed to the scoring. Jaylen Kimani notched 13 Eagle points.
