Highline's Bears pounced on FCA Baseball for a 9-4 victory Saturday, upping their semipro Pacific International League record to 2-1 on the young summer season.
The Bears took a lead they never relinquished at 4-2 in the third inning with the help of home runs by Tyler McClain and Cole Trotignon.
The teams split their hits evenly in an uneven game at 9-9.
Highline's win at Mel Olson Stadium inside Steve Cox Memorial Park came on the heels of an 11-1 loss to the Everett Merchants on the same field Friday.
That game ended at 10:45 p.m. when the lights went out.
Highline had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning at the time.
The Bears beat Laces Baseball by a 12-3 score to open their season Saturday, June 1. They outhit Laces by a 10-4 margin at Mel Olson.
