Tryouts for football get underway across the state of Washington next Wednesday, Aug. 21, followed by tryouts for all other fall sports on Monday, Aug. 26.

Mariners

Seattle is on the road in Detroit playing the Tigers at 10:10 a.m. Thursday before going to Toronto to take on the Blue Jays at 4:07 p.m. Friday, 12:07 p.m. Saturday and 10:07 a.m. Sunday.

The Mariners head south to Tampa Bay to play the Rays at 4:10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Mariners games can be seen on the ROOT Sports cable television network.

Sounders

Seattle's Major League Soccer squad visits the Los Angeles Galaxy for a 7 p.m. Saturday match that will be shown on ESPN2.

Seahawks

Seattle visits the Minnesota Vikings for 5 p.m. Sunday preseason action aired by Channel 13 TV.

Storm

Seattle goes to Connecticut for a 4:30 p.m. Friday clash before coming home to play the Minnesota Lynx at 4 p.m. Sunday on JOEtv.

Seattle visits Sky Blue for women's soccer action at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Rainiers

Tacoma opens its final home stand of the season Thursday, playing the Fresno Grizzlies at 7:05 p.m. at Cheney Stadium.

Fresno stays in town for games at the same time Friday and Saturday and at 1:35 p.m. Sunday.

The Salt Lake Bees fly in for 7:05 p.m. Pacific Coast League baseball games Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and the Las Vegas 51s drop in at the same time next Thursday.

Emerald Downs

The Auburn track is open for horse racing action at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.
