Ballard kicked its football season off on the right foot Friday.

The Beavers blasted the Juanita Rebels by a 42-7 score at Seattle Memorial Stadium in the non-league season opener for both teams.

Ballard carries its 1-0 record to Everett this coming Friday to play Mariner in a 7 p.m. game that will also be non-league.

Bellevue Christian 19, Evergreen 14

The Wolverines flirted with victory Friday before coming up short in a non-league game.

Blaine 27, Chief Sealth 8

Bishop Jackson scored the Seahawks' only touchdown on a 55-yard fumble return in Friday's loss in Blaine.

North Thurston 43, West Seattle 7

West Seattle took a loss at home at the Southwest Athletic Complex in Friday's non-league battle against North Thurston.

Ingraham 42, Highline 13

The Pirates also opened at home Friday and took a non-league loss.

Fife 40, Foster 6

Foster journeyed to Fife on Friday and absorbed a non-league loss at the hands of the powerful Trojans.
