This morning, the King County Sheriff’s Office TAC-30 SWAT team arrested a 49 year old male for trafficking of stolen property.  The Seattle man was placed in a holding cell at the Southwest Precinct until he could be interviewed by detectives. During a routine cell check, detectives discovered the man was not breathing. Detectives attempted extensive life saving measures, along with King County Medics, but were unable to revive him.   

As is routine with an in-custody death, our Major Crimes detectives are investigating. Because the investigation is on-going, we will be unable to comment further on the matter today.
