One of the heaviest rainfalls in the last two decades led to multiple mudslides blocking Woodmont beach Drive in Des Moines. The slides happened on Friday. 3.25 inches of rain was recorded at SeaTac Airport in the 24 hour period, making it one of the top five heaviest rainfall records.
The road is currently closed.
Crews were on hand to begin the cleanup which was expected to last through most of the day.
