Starting Monday, March 16, the City decided to close all City Facilities to the public.
The public closure affects City Hall, SeaTac Community Center, Valley Ridge Community/Teen Center and the Maintenance Facility. All City parks will be closed and gates at the park will be locked. The Parks Department will be closing all City park restrooms.
City Hall front doors will remain unlocked during regular business hours. The first and second floors of the City Hall building, including second floor tenants, will be accessible to the public.
Permit Center and Finance Counter
During this public closure, the Permit Counter will accept permit applications, resubmittals and issue permits from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM from Monday to Friday. People with general inquiries will need to either call or email staff. Customers will need to call 206-973-4750 to be let up the elevator. Permit Center staff will regulate the flow of customers.
City Events & Meetings
As of Monday, March 9, all Citizen Advisory Committee meetings are being cancelled until further notice which is following Public Health Seattle King County guidelines to avoid bringing large groups of people together when feasible
*City Council meetings will be held as scheduled. However, the City will continue to assess the situation and will notify you if this changes.
Police Reports
In order to limit exposure to COVID-19 for our Deputies and the community, reports for eligible incidents will only be taken online or by phone. This only applies to incidents that are not emergencies, are not currently in progress, and had no evidence left behind. As always, for emergencies call 911.

Effective immediately and until further notice, all original Concealed Pistol License appointments and fingerprinting services will be suspended due to concerns of the Coronavirus.

SeaTac Municipal Court
SeaTac Municipal Court is POSTPONING all in-person hearings that were scheduled for next week, March 16, 2020 - March 20, 2020 due to an emergency court order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The court will still have hearings for defendants who are currently in-custody.
- All defendants will be notified by mail of their new court date.
- Please check back as the court may remain closed to the public beyond next week as circumstances dictate.
- If you have any questions or need to speak with someone in the court, please call 206-973-4610 as the phones will still be operational.
The probation officer will still be available. However, the will be completed via mediums such as Skype or FaceTime. Please contact the probation department at 206-771-2818 if you have any questions or need to speak with the probation counselor directly.
DVMRT and Thinking for a Change is canceled until 3/24/20. Please check back in two weeks to see if class is postponed once again.
There will be no jury trials scheduled for the month of March due to the COVID-19 pandemic

- In addition to the recommendations listed above, the public can help:

- Stay home when sick.
- Practice excellent personal hygiene habits, including handwashing, coughing into tissue or elbow, avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Stay away from people who are ill, especially if you are 60 and older or have underlying health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, or a weakened immune system.
Stay informed. Information is changing frequently. Check and subscribe to Public Health's website (www.kingcounty.gov/COVID) or blog (www.publichealthinsider.com).
Remember to take every day preventive action such as washing hands, and if you are sick stay home. During an outbreak with a new virus there is a lot of uncertainty. Our guidance and advice is subject to change as we learn more. We will continue to keep you updated.
SeaTac Emergency Proclamation
Today, the City Manager and Mayor issued an emergency proclamation. This emergency declaration is not a cause for alarm. The proclamation could allow the City to receive reimbursement of money spent during an emergency as per state and federal law. An emergency declaration allows the City access to additional resources that may be needed in the future for addressing the coronavirus but does not actually serve a singular purpose.

Disaster Loan Assistance for Business
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is working in collaboration with the Small Business Administration (SBA) on disaster loan assistance. Please feel free to reach out directly to sbdc@highline.edu
- March 12th the SBA released a statement that disaster loan assistance will be provided. After a declaration is made for assistance in a designated area, funding will be available and businesses can begin the application process. Funding will be made available for qualified businesses to address the economic consequences of COVID-19.
