Mount Rainier’s Rams raked in two top awards in this year’s North Puget Sound League Cascade Division boys basketball all-star selections.

Senior Ricky Bell III was named as the division’s Most Valuable Player and Brandon Horstman of the Rams was honored as the Coach of the Year.

The only other top award – Defensive Player of the Year – went to Kentlake senior Jaleel Walton.

Kennedy Catholic senior Chancellor Hilliard garnered one of the five first team positions along with Walton, Kentwood junior Iycik Pam, Kentridge senior Owen Paznokas and Kentlake senior Sam Morasch.

The five second team selections were Kentwood senior Alphonso Oywak, Kentridge junior Drew Liddell, Kentridge junior Adrian Pop, Kentlake sophomore Colin Eversole and Tahoma senior JC Humphrey.

Kennedy Catholic sophomore Jamare’ Childs earned his way onto the third team along with Kentwood sophomore Jaelin Green, Kent-Meridian junior Jaziel Dewitte, Kent-Meridian senior Chris Koreman and Tahoma junior Quinn Falk.

The Olympic Division Most Valuable Player was Brycen Dillworth of Todd Beamer, while the Defensive Player of the Year was Federal Way senior Jaylen-Wes Williams and the Coach of the Year was Terry Johnson of Enumclaw.

First team players were Federal Way senior Bradley Graham, Auburn sophomore Maleek Arington, Auburn Riverside senior Julius Cain, Auburn sophomore Trevon Blasingame and Auburn Mountainview sophomore Salauta Savusa.

Second team players were Federal Way’s Williams, Auburn sophomore Dea’Kwon Watson, Auburn junior Amar Rivers, Enumclaw junior John Leonard and Auburn Riverside junior Kevin Griffin.

The third team selections for the Olympic Division were Thomas Jefferson senior Daviaun Gale, Federal Way senior Peter Erickson, Enumclaw sophomore Dane Goudy, Auburn Riverside senior Cole Lenhan and Todd Beamer senior Steven Black.
