If you have been sitting at home dreaming of somewhere to get some great coffee and waffles, your dreams have come true.
Phil Sudore is the owner of The Spot West Seattle, new at 2950 Avalon Way Southwest.
Sudore writes:
It has always been a dream of mine to establish strong roots and be able to leave a legacy of service in the neighbor I live and love. What better way than to open a community hang with food, full bar and music. "The Spot West Seattle".
The original idea was to open a full bar that offered simple, straight forward, flavorful tapas style menu with craft cocktails, craft beer and wine. We signed the papers for our place on 2/20/2020. 1 week later the world shut down. Although very stressful, I never had the thought of giving up. Quite the contrary it pushed me harder to accomplish the goal of opening The Spot West Seattle so that I could serve my community and offer some joy once this was over. Operating under the shared hope that it would be over sooner than later.
The Spot West Seattle is currently offering coffee and espresso drinks and a fun very dynamic waffle menu. The waffles were a Covid-19 adaptation knowing we would not be able to open the inside of the restaurant for quite sometime. It will now be part of our business model as a permeant feature. Once this ends, We will open from 6:30 am to 1:00 pm with our breakfast menu. Shut down until 4pm and reopen until 11 pm with our dinner menus. I am also a local musician in the band Mercy Parker. we will have live music nights with other artist from around the area. Starting next week we will also be live streaming music from our restaurant. All of the tips that come in from food sold during the time the artist is playing will go to the artist.
For now our hours are 6:30-4 Mon-Fri. 7-4 Saturday 8-4 Sun. You can text or call in orders to 425-298-3292
So awesome, Phil! Can’t wait to check it out! Congratulations!
