When this year's North Puget Sound League and Kingco girls soccer schedules first came out, scheduling conflicts were everywhere.

Matches were listed at the same time on the same field at Highline Memorial Stadium, or even at the same time as football games.

But solving the problems was easy, and in a different way than in the past.

Before doubleheaders were scheduled at Highline Memorial, but now Evergreen, Mount Rainier and Tyee all have their own fields they can use.

Evergreen was the most recent school to get its own lighted pitch, and Mount Rainier got one previously.

Tyee has two Valley Ridge fields next door, and Highline still has Highline Memorial.

The season is scheduled to open for some Tuesday, Sept. 8 -- pandemic permitting.
