A charity golf tournament The Don Bereiter Classic is happening Sept 10 at the West Seattle Golf Course to benefit the West Seattle Food Bank. The event honors Don Bereiter who recently passed away from cancer. Don was well-known and loved in the West Seattle community, where he was the managing broker at Prudential NW Real Estate (later Berkshire Hathaway) and most recently the branch manager at Windermere in the West Seattle Junction.
The organizers already have all 18 holes sponsored, and nearly a full course of golfers. Raffle tickets are still available
Don will be remembered for his sense of humor and eagerness to help others. Golf was one of his passions, and he was a big part of this tournament in years past---it will be a wonderful way to celebrate a truly great man!

ALL GOLF AND RAFFLE PROCEEDS
100% of the proceeds from the Golf Tournament and Raffle will be presented to the West Seattle Helpline
and our friends at Pepsi will match all contributions made!
GOLFER’S COMPETITION PACKAGE
This year you have the option to ride or walk...nothing like a stroll in the fresh air! $100 entry fee and any
money we save on carts will be added to the final tally. Mulligans are available: $25 for 4 (limit one purchase
per team). We ask that everything be paid in advance to simplify on-site check in.
NON-GOLFER PARTICIPATION
Not a golfer? We would love your help! Raffle Tickets can be purchased and are $10 each...and you do not
have to be present to win; you will be notified if you have one of the lucky tickets drawn on the 10th!
HOLE SPONSORSHIP
Have your name in lights with a $200 donation to sponsor a hole! A sign will be on display with your name or
your company’s name, and will be mentioned in the brochure (and the WS Blog as well!).
OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
We need your help securing raffle prizes! Do you own a business or know someone who might be able to
donate a new item or gift certificate? Maybe you have something you’ve never used that you could re-gift for
the raffle? Re-gifting encouraged (think Seinfeld)….de-clutter and let us put it to good use! We will be sure to
