Original Post 6:30am
A fallen tree knocked out power and blocked traffic in West Seattle early Friday morning. Initially more than 7000 people were without power in the area near Harbor Ave SW with the tree falling between California Ave SW and Ferry Ave SW.
Seattle City LIght crews were able to quickly get the power back on reducing the number to just 775 with the hope that the power would be back on by mid morning.
Traffic in the area is blocked as they remove the tree and try to restore the power.
