Kelemete starts for Texans
Evergreen High School graduate Senio Kelemete tops the depth chart at left guard for the Houston Texans of the National Football League.
The 30-year-old former University of Washington player stands at 6-foot, 3 inches and weighs in at 302 pounds.
Smalls a freshman at UW
Kennedy graduate Sav'ell Smalls is now gearing up for his freshman year with the University of Washington football program.
The five-star recruit plays outside linebacker and stands at 6-2, 250.
Brett played for Sioux Falls
Highline graduate Ryan Brett played second base for the independent minor league Sioux Falls Canaries this summer.
Brett batted .243 over 140 at bats and hit six doubles, two triples and one home run.
Mann pitched for Monkeys
Mount Rainier graduate Brandon Mann took his left-handed pitching arm to China this summer, playing professional baseball for the Rakuten Monkeys.
The 36-year-old Mann threw 19 innings and had an 0-2 record.
Kela winds up on injured list
Chief Sealth graduate Keone Kela finished the season on the 60-day injured list for the Pittsburgh Pirates with forearm trouble, but is expected to return as a right-handed power pitcher in the bullpen next spring.
He threw two innings and gave up one run for an 0-0, 4.50 record.
COVID sidelines Brigham
Thomas Jefferson graduate Jeff Brigham missed most of his season with the Miami Marlins after testing positive for COVID 19.
He is expected back next spring as a right-handed reliever.
Brigham threw only one inning.
McCullough with Angels
Morgan McCullough, a West Seattle graduate, awaits his second season as a shortstop and third baseman in the minor league system of the Los Angeles Angels.
He played for the Orem Owls last year but this year minor league games were not played because of COVID.
Martinez awaits first season
Mount Rainier graduate Sarah Martinez awaits her first season as the head coach of the Yale women's soccer team, but it has been postponed by COVID.
