Kelemete, Texans win two in a row
With Evergreen High School graduate Senio Kelemete on the offensive line the Houston Texans have won back-to-back National Football League games.
The Texans knocked off New England by a 27-20 score Sunday, Dec. 22 with the 6-3, 302 pound Kelemete starting at left guard and followed up four days later by defeating Detroit, 41-25, in a Thanksgiving morning game.
Next up for Houston is a 10 a.m. Sunday home game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Pryor scores four in Husky opener
West Seattle graduate Nate Pryor finished with four points as the University of Washington men's basketball team dropped its non-league season opener to No. 2 Baylor on Sunday.
The 6-4 point guard played 11 minutes in the action in Las Vegas.
Bwana's new team takes a pair
Ballard graduate Handwalla Bwana and the Nashville SC team won their first two Major League Soccer playoffs before bowing out with a 2-0 loss to Columbus on Sunday.
Nashville blanked Miami, 3-0, on Friday, Nov. 20 before knocking off Toronto, 1-0, in overtime Tuesday, Nov. 24.
Nashville is an expansion team that picked up Bwana in a recent trade with the Seattle Sounders.
