Seahawks
Seattle ran its record to 8-3 by pulling out a gritty 23-17 victory in Philadelphia Monday night.
Now the National Football Conference West leaders come home to Lumen Field to face the NFC East-leading New York Giants (4-7) at 1:05 p.m. Sunday on Channel 13 television.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson completed 22 of 31 passes for 230 yards Monday, with DK Metcalf catching 10 of those for 177 yards.
Chris Carson returned from an injury to lead the Seattle running backs with 41 yards on eight carries.
Jamal Adams had six tackles, three assists and one sack on defense.
Sounders
Shane O'Neill struck on a header off a corner kick in the 49th minute of play Tuesday and the goal held up for a 1-0 Western Conference semifinal victory for Seattle over FC Dallas.
The team that trains in Tukwila advances to the Western final on Monday on Fox Sports 1, facing the winner of Thursday's 5:30 p.m. semifinal between host Sporting Kansas City and Minnesota.
Seattle will be home Monday at Lumen Field if Minnesota wins but on the road at Children's Mercy Park in Missouri if Kansas City is victorious.
O'Neill's goal was his first in Major League Soccer action since 2014.
Colleges
Husky football
Washington entertains Stanford for a 1 p.m. game at Husky Stadium on Saturday that will be televised on Channel 13.
The Huskies are 3-0 including a 24-21 win over Utah this past Saturday.
Dylan Morris completed 23 of 38 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns for a UW team that trailed, 21-0, at halftime.
Tight end Cade Otton was on the receiving end of both of Morris' touchdowns, catching eight passes in all for 108 yards.
Edufuan Ulofoshio had another big game on defense, racking up 14 tackles including four solos.
Cougar football
Washington State University visits USC for 4:30 p.m. Sunday action on Fox Sports 1.
The Cougars' last two games were cancelled because of COVID-19 troubles.
Husky men
Washington opens Pac-12 play Thursday with a 3 p.m. visit to Utah before hosting Seattle University at 8 p.m. next Wednesday.
Both games can be seen on the Pac-12 network.
Husky women
The 2-0 Huskies visit California for 6 p.m. action Friday before dropping in on Stanford on Sunday.
Cougar women
Washington State University visits Stanford Friday and California Sunday at times to be announced.
Cougar men
WSU hosts Oregon State at 7 p.m. Wednesday and visits Colorado at 1 p.m. Sunday before entertaining Idaho at 6 p.m. next Wednesday.
All three games can be seen on the Pac-12 cable television network.
Redhawk men
Seattle University visits UCLA at 5 p.m. Thursday, Long Beach State at 2 p.m. Sunday and Washington at 8 p.m. next Wednesday.
Thursday's and Wednesday's action will be carried on the Pac-12 network.
Redhawk women
Seattle entertains Utah State at 2 p.m. Thursday before visiting Portland at noon Sunday.
Bulldog men
Gonzaga plays West Virginia at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Indianapolis and Baylor there at 10 a.m. Saturday.
It hosts Tarleton State at a time to be announced Tuesday in Spokane.
Wednesday's action can be seen on ESPN and Saturday's on Channel 7.
Bulldog women
Gonzaga visits South Dakota State on Sunday before dropping in on Wyoming on Tuesday.
