Kennedy Catholic triumphed over the Tahoma team in a game played Friday in Maple Valley.
It was the Class 4A North Puget Sound League opener for both teams.
Next up for the Lancers is a 7 p.m. Friday visit to the Decatur Gators at Federal Way Memorial.
Foster 68, Highline 24
Foster prevailed against the Pirates in a high-scoring affair in Tukwila on Friday.
It was the season opener for both teams that are now part of the Class 2A portion of the Kingco Conference.
Highline entertains Evergreen in its next game at 6 p.m. Friday with Foster going to Sammamish at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Federal Way 25, Mount Rainier 7
Mount Rainier finds itself in the 4A portion of the now combined 4A/3A North Puget Sound League, losing its opener at home to the Federal Way Eagles on Friday.
The Rams, who also draw players from Tyee for football, entertain Tahoma at 1 p.m. Saturday back at Highline Memorial.

Ballard fell to 1-1 in Metro League action with Friday's loss to a tough O'Dea contingent.
The Beavers visit Blanchet for 7 p.m. action this coming Friday.
