Soto racks up assist in win

Mount Rainier graduate Christian Soto scored one assist for the University of Washington men's soccer team in a 5-1 victory over UCLA last Thursday.

Huard works with third unit

Sam Huard from Kennedy Catholic High School joined the University of Washington football team for its first spring practice last Wednesday and started off as a freshman working with the third string offensive unit.

Huard was ranked as the nation's top pocket passer out of high school.

Returning starter Dylan Morris went out with the first unit as a redshirt sophomore and the second team reps went to graduate transfer Patrick O'Brien.

All of that could change as practices continue leading up to the noon Saturday, May 1 Huskies spring game -- and during the regular season next fall.

Also in spring camp is Kennedy Catholic graduate Sav'ell Smalls as a returning sophomore linebacker.
