Police are investigating after a man was shot and a woman was assaulted in a dispute Sunday evening inside an RV in Ballard.
Around 9:45 PM, police received a report of gunfire near the 4600 block of 8th Avenue Northwest. When officers arrived, a woman stepped out of a motorhome and directed police to a wounded man inside.
The 56-year-old man had been shot in the arm, and was bleeding from his head.
Police learned the man and woman in the RV had been involved in a dispute with two men—one of whom is known to the victims—over property. During the dispute, the suspects shot the male victim in the arm, pistol-whipped him, and assaulted the woman.
The male victim was transported to an area hospital via private ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue to investigate the case.
