This afternoon the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed two counts of Murder in the First Degree against Francisco I. Montero for the March 2018 shooting deaths of two teenage girls outside a Burien apartment complex. One of the victims was 13, the other was 19.
These charges are the result of a long investigation by the King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Burien Police Department. Authorities are still seeking Montero’s accomplices to these crimes.
The next scheduled court date for Mr. Montero is his arraignment, where a plea is entered. That’s scheduled for 9 a.m. July 12 in the GA courtroom of the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.
Mr. Montero is already in Department of Corrections custody for a murder that he committed in 2017. The King County Prosecuting Attorney successfully prosecuted that case in 2018.
