Little League
District 7 Age 11
The three team double-elimination tournament at the Bar S complex in West Seattle begins at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rainier District taking on Renton.
West Seattle awaits the winner at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Sunday's winner advances to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday championship action and the loser falls into a 5:30 p.m. Monday game against Saturday's loser for the right to also make the championship.
The if-necessary second championship is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
District 7 Minors
PacWest in SeaTac is the site of the six team double-elimination tournament.
At 1 p.m. Saturday it will be PacWest vs. Rainier District on one field and West Seattle vs. Seattle Central on another.
The PacWest-Rainier winner plays Renton at 1 p.m. Sunday and the West Seattle-Seattle Central winner meets South Highline National at the same time.
Sunday's winners play in the 5:30 p.m. Tuesday winners final for a berth into the 5:30 p.m. Thursday championship. The if necessary game would be at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Two losers games take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday with the winners playing at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The losers bracket final is at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
State Intermediate
Steven J. Underwood fields in Des Moines are hosting state Intermediate action with 50 feet away pitcher's mounds and 70 foot basepaths starting Saturday.
The District 7 team plays District 12 at noon Saturday with the winner playing District 1 at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Sunday's winner plays at 6 p.m. Tuesday and Tuesday's winner reaches the 6 p.m. Thursday winners bracket final. Thursday's winner plays for the championship at 11 a.m. Saturday with the if-necessary game at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Junior Golf
Nationals
Kennedy Knox of Mount Rainier and Lauryn Nguyen of West Seattle are among four Seattle area junior golfers bound for Chevy Chase, MD for the girls national championships that begin Monday.
It will be the first nationals trip for Knox, who tied for second behind Nguyen at a qualifier held June 1 in Gig Harbor.
"This is my final year of junior golf and I have never been to a USGA event," said Knox, who along with Nguyen is 18 years old.
Nguyen is bound for Northwestern University in Illinois to play golf and Knox will play for the University of Washington.

Seattle hosts the New York Yankees at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:10 p.m. Thursday at T-Mobile Park.
The Los Angeles Angels fly in for games at 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and for 1:10 p.m. action Sunday.
All of the action can be seen on ROOT Sports Northwest cable television.
Sounders
Seattle gets a 6 p.m. Wednesday visit from Houston at Lumen Field with JOEtv carrying the action live.
Storm
Los Angeles visits the Seattle Storm at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett.
The Storm breezes off to Phoenix for a 6 p.m. Friday game before coming back to host Phoenix at 3 p.m. Sunday.
CBS Sports airs Wednesday's game with ESPN showing Friday's and JOEtv Sunday's.
OL Reign
Kansas City comes to Cheney Stadium in Tacoma to play the Reign in a 4 p.m. Sunday women's soccer match.
Seawolves
Starfire Stadium in Tukwila will be the scene as Seattle hosts New Orleans for a 6 p.m. Major League Rugby match this Sunday.
Fox Sports 2 will show the action live.
Rainiers
Tacoma goes to Sugar Land for 5:05 p.m. games Thursday and Friday ahead of 4:05 p.m. contests Saturday and Sunday.
More 5:05 p.m. action follows Monday and Tuesday.

The Auburn horse racing oval opens for action at 6 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
